Culture Club came to pass when Boy George left as a
co-singer of the band Bow Wow Wow where he performed as Lieutenant Lush, which
is all kinds of awesome.
Once the new group saw that a male transvestite, Jewish
drummer, black bass player and lily-white guitar player were performing
together, they took on the moniker of Culture Club.
Colour By Numbers is their second album, it went top 5 in
about half of all first-world countries and spawned at least five singles.
And until you really listen to Culture Club do you realize
just how weird Boy George’s voice is and you wonder if he’d be nearly as
successful if he weren’t such a flamboyant transvestite. Questions to ponder.
