I thought there’d be more flute.
As cartoonish as Jethro Tull has become as a band that
featured a flautist, this is a normal 1970s British rock record with a
noticeable tinge of Brit folk. It’s not nearly as terrible as I anticipated.
There’s songsmanship here, artistry.
Am I going to listen to it a lot in the future? Probably
not. It’s not so much my thoughts about Jethro Tull as much as my limits for
1970s British rock.
