'Kings of the Wild Frontier'

All that I think about when I listened to this album is the opening scene of The Commitments when the two guys are in the wedding band and they relay the story that they’re changing their name to Ant Ant! Ant.

Adam and the Ants – led by lead singer, Adam Ant – were known for two things: First, the Burundi style, which you will automatically recognize from probably another dozen 1980s rock and pop bands, was used throughout including almost entirely on Kings of the Wild Frontier. Secondly, they had nautically themed wardrobes, including Adam’s jacket, which you would imagine Admiral Horatio Nelson admiring (he actually still wears this jacket). The other guys looked like pirates.

All kidding aside, this is a pretty cool album if for nothing other than the pure energy and the unforgiving group vocals.
