I gave this album a re-listen after my homie Jeezy saw My Bloody Valentine in Dallas recently. Said it was the loudest concert he'd ever been to (including other MBV concerts).However, for a band that likes to crank it and just create a gigantic Great Wall of Noise, they're still cognizant of the melody and tune. They do not rest their noisy laurels on clutter and chaos, but on what sounds good and what makes good rock music.
Are they The Beatles? No. Are they just so far out of right field that they might as well be in row 300 in the upper deck? Hardly. This is a really great album and one of my most fondest memories of listening to music as a teenager in the 1990s.
